Pr. Karim Amighi

PhD in Pharm. Sc., Full Professor, head of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy – ULB (2011-2015). Pr. Amighi has research interests in the field of advanced drug delivery systems for oral, parenteral, pulmonary and nasal administration. He is the author of over 135 papers in internationally recognized journals, 2 book chapters and is inventor on 15 patents. Over his academic career, Pr. Amighi supervised 35 PhD and post-doctorate students. As leading academic director, he directed more than 50 competitive research projects financed by regional funds or by national and international pharmaceuticals companies (15M € budget). He also initiated the development of a new inhalation product for the treatment of COPD and asthma currently on the market. Pr. Amighi is a Co-founder of InhaTarget Therapeutics.
